Daniel Dahm, Germany

Daniel Dahm, PhD, is an ecologist, geographer, activist, born 1969 in Cologne, Germany. His areas of expertise are transdisciplinary macroscopic perspectives on complex systems as i.a. culture, geopolitics, ecology and economy, combining anthropology, humanities and natural sciences.
As researcher and consultant DD works for various research bodies, and transnational instituitions, and is in diverse functions in NGOs and foundations (Wuppertal Institute f. Climate, Environment, Energy, Natural History Museum, London, Coalition of the Global Commons, Utopia-Foundation, Federation of German Scientists, etc. ...). In 2005 he wrote together with the quantum physicist Hans- Peter Duerr and the philosopher Rudolf Prinz zur Lippe the "Potsdam Manifesto & Denkschrift 2005 'We have to learn to think in a new way'" that followed in the footsteps of the Russell-Einstein Manifesto from 1955. Just recently published is the new book "Urbane Subsistence. The second source of wealth" at Oekom Verlag in Munich. Currently he is founding the "Institute for Diversity & Sustainability Strategies – the Ship".
